About JINC

What is JINC?

JINC is a premium, guided Life Clarity Journal designed to help individuals and families organise essential life information in one calm, structured place.

JINC brings together practical details — from household systems and finances to health context and personal wishes — not as a legal document, but as a living record designed to reduce the mental load you carry and bring lasting reassurance to the people you love.

How is JINC pronounced?

JINC is pronounced exactly as it looks — like "zinc". It stands for Just IN Case, which is the heart of why it was created.

What does 'Life Clarity Journal' mean?

A Life Clarity Journal is a guided place to document the essential information your family depends on you to know — not just the formal things like finances and legal documents, but the everyday details that only exist in your head.

School routines. Passwords. How the boiler works. The things that keep life moving.

JINC is the world's first journal specifically designed for this purpose, bringing together practical, personal and emotional information in one calm, structured place.

What makes JINC different from a planner or a notebook?

A planner helps you manage what's happening today. A notebook is blank. JINC is neither.

JINC is a guided, structured system specifically designed to hold the essential long-term information your family depends on you to know — the kind that lives only in your head until you write it down.

Every section, every prompt, every detail has been thoughtfully designed with one purpose: to turn scattered knowledge into organised calm.

Is JINC the same as an emergency binder or 'in case of emergency' folder?

JINC goes further than a traditional emergency binder. While it does include practical sections for finances, health information and household details, it also includes space for personal messages, memories, and the everyday knowledge that holds a family together.

It is designed to feel beautiful and calm to use — not clinical or morbid — and is intended to be returned to and updated throughout your life, not just filled in once and forgotten.

Who JINC is for

Who is JINC for?

JINC is for anyone who carries the mental load for their family or household and wants to set it down somewhere safe.

It is particularly useful for people navigating a health journey or major operation, parents who want continuity for their children, carers managing multiple responsibilities, professionals with complex digital lives, and anyone who simply wants peace of mind that the people they love would be able to cope if the unexpected happened.

Is JINC suitable for people without children?

Absolutely. JINC is designed to be flexible and relevant across all life stages and circumstances. Whether you are a parent, a carer, a professional, or simply someone who wants to get organised and feel prepared, JINC works for you.

Every section can be completed according to your own situation — nothing is prescriptive.

Is JINC suitable as a gift?

JINC makes a deeply thoughtful gift for someone you care about — a parent, a partner, a close friend navigating a health journey or life transition.

It says "I want you to feel prepared and cared for" in a way that few gifts can.

Gift purchasing options will be available when orders open on 20th April 2026.

The journal itself

What materials is the Founding Edition made from?

The Founding Edition is produced as a premium casebound journal, crafted to last.

It features section sewn binding, a sage green cloth cover, foil blocking on the cover and spine, a ribbon marker, and 120gsm writing paper.

It is designed and printed in the UK — this is not disposable stationery. It is a book made to be kept.

Is JINC available digitally?

JINC is a physical, premium casebound journal — designed to be held, written in, and kept.

A JINC app is currently in development and will be available to Founding Members at no additional cost when it launches.

How long does it take to complete JINC?

There is no set timeframe — JINC is designed to be worked through at your own pace.

Some people complete sections over a weekend, others return to it gradually over several weeks.

The guided prompts make it easy to know where to start, and the journal is designed to feel calm and manageable rather than overwhelming. You can always come back and add to it as your circumstances change.

Is JINC a legally binding document?

No. JINC is not a legal document and does not replace a will, lasting power of attorney, or any professional legal or financial advice.

JINC is designed to complement formal planning by organising your information in a clear, accessible and human way — so that the people who matter most to you have what they need, when they need it.

The Founding Edition & membership

What is the Founding Edition?

The Founding Edition is the very first print run of JINC — limited to just 100 carefully produced copies.

Once all 100 are allocated, this edition will close permanently and will not be reprinted. Future editions will follow, but the Founding Edition is the beginning, and beginnings only happen once.

What are Founding Member benefits?

Founding Members — the first 100 people to complete an order — will receive a hand-numbered First Edition journal, a 15% lifetime discount on future JINC editions and accessories, lifetime access to the JINC app when it launches, a handwritten welcome note from Angela, private access to The JINC Circle, priority dispatch on launch orders, and a 30-day peace of mind guarantee.

Full details are available on the Founding Edition page.

What is the JINC Circle?

The JINC Circle is a private, intentionally quiet space for journal owners to connect, reflect, and share thoughtful approaches to life clarity.

There is no engagement pressure — it is entirely optional and designed to feel like a calm community rather than a busy social platform.

Will there be other editions in the future?

Yes. Future editions of JINC will follow, including expanded and alternative versions.

However, the Founding Edition is limited to 100 copies and will never be reprinted. If you want to own the very first edition of JINC, order your copy now is the only way to make sure you don't miss it.
